Cluster admission test in 24 universities scheduled from 8 March

It has been decided to hold the 2023-24 academic year undergraduate first year admission tests in 24 universities under the GST cluster on March 8 on Friday (C Unit Commerce), on March 9, Saturday (B Unit-Humanities) and on April 27, Saturday (A Unit Science). Admission tests for all units will be held from 11 AM to 12 noon.

All these decisions were taken in the first meeting of the integrated admission committee of GST cluster universities at the University Grants Commission (UGC) Conference Room on Sunday. It was informed in the meeting that students can apply from 29 January to 15 February 2024 AD till 11:59 PM. As before, application fee is 1500 taka and for specialized subjects additional application fee of taka 500 will be charged.

The Vice-Chancellors agreed to complete all admission procedures by June 30. In the meeting, it was decided that the same qualification as given in the academic year 2022-23 will be fixed this time. For this time too, minimum 30 marks will be considered as pass marks.

A technical committee has been formed under the leadership of Professor Dr. Md. Nashim Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor, Chandpur University of Science and Technology. It was decided to include a representative from all universities in the committee.

A finance committee has also been formed under the leadership of Professor Dr. A. F. M. Abdul Moin, Vice-Chancellor, Cumilla University. It was decided to include a representative from all universities in the committee. Vice Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology, convener of integrated admission committee of GST cluster universities Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain presided over the event, while the Vice-chancellors of 23 universities were present in the meeting.
